The two occasions — one physical and one virtual — brought together Rotarians, Rotaractors, prospective members and friends of Rotary, highlighting the club's growing membership and its ability to connect Rotarians across geographical boundaries. Federal Government Removes Degree Ban on Universities in Benin and Togo, Bringing Relief to Over 22,000 Nigerian Students.

Nigeria’s Federal Government has lifted the suspension placed on degree certificates obtained from universities in the Republic of Benin and Togo, bringing relief to thousands of Nigerian students whose academic futures had been uncertain. The suspension, which affected over 22,000 Nigerians who graduated from institutions in the neighbouring countries, had earlier been introduced as part of efforts to curb certificate racketeering and protect the integrity of Nigeria’s education system. This followed a motion passed by the House of Representatives asking the Federal Government to rescind its blanket invalidation of degree certificates obtained from the Republics of Benin and Togo. Announcing the decision, the Federal Government said the move followed extensive engagements and reforms aimed at strengthening verification processes and ensuring that only legitimate institutions and qualifications are recognized. Oladejo Lamikanra, SAN Born on the 1st of March, 1961 OLADEJO OLUSEYI LAMIKANRA, SAN is a native of Ilesha in Osun State. He had his early education in Nigeria at the Salvation Army Primary school, Surulere, Lagos (from 1967 to 72); St. Paul’s Primary School, Idi-Oro. Lagos. (from 1973 to 75) and the prestigious Igbobi College, Lagos.  He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos and was called to the Bar in 1985.   Since then, Lamikanra has had further certifications from other reputable institutions outside Nigeria, such as the Queen Mary College, University of London, UK, where he bagged an LL.M Hons. He started seeing supernatural visions right from his childhood. his mother stopped taking him to market due to his uncountable scary visions of head-walking market persons and many others. His bold attitude towards challenging supernatural beings in human flesh made his mother to take a drastic step. He was sometimes been locked in the house alone. Adunola, his mother, reported this to an herbalist who drew the conclusion of making incisions beneath his eyelid as he had had been said to have been possessed by some evil spirits. The tree planting project of our esteemed club in conjunction with the Roteract club OSCOHTECH, Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu-Ife was done on the 24th of July, 2020 at the Ogun State College of Health Technology (OSCOHTECH), Ilese, Ogun State. The program was well attended by members of the club and staff and students of OSCOHTECH. The program started with an opening remarks by the IPP Rtn Olusesi Lukman by 10:22am. Mrs. Oyefeso Abimbola who represented the Registrar who was on state assignment in Abeokuta thereafer welcomed members of the club to OSCOHTECH. She also appreciated the club for choosing the school as one of the beneficiaries of the project. The president and members of the club visited Adatan Literacy Center (Adult Education Center) to sensitized and encouraged the learners on the importance of Education in their respective businesses and community at large. ROTARY OBANTOKO: FREE 3-MONTH MUSICAL INSTRUMENT TRAINING

  The Club in conjunction with Lekson Music World started a free 3-month musical training for the residents of Gideon Orphanage Home, Asero. The training started on Tuesday 15th September, 2020 where the children will be taught on how to play musical instruments like piano, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, violin and so on.The team was led by the president (Rtn Easy Adeniran) and chair,  Service Project (PP Omolara Kuyoro).
