ROTARY CLUB OF GATEWAY CITY PASSPORT HOLDS HISTORIC VIRTUAL CHARTER PRESENTATION AND INDUCTION CEREMONY

The Rotary Club of Gateway City Passport has officially marked a major milestone with its Virtual Charter Certificate Presentation and Induction of New Members Ceremony held on 11th June, 2026. The event brought together top Rotary leaders, distinguished guests, and members from across the district in a well-attended virtual gathering.
The ceremony was called to order by the New Club Adviser, Assistant Governor Titilope Easy Adeniran, setting the tone for a well-coordinated and impactful programme.

The event featured the presence of the District Governor, Henry Akinyele, Past Assistant Governors (PAG) Dayo Niyi-Idowu and Festus Adetonwa, Incoming Assistant Governors Babatunde Aremu, Lawal Yusuf, and Adebukola Adeniran, Past President Funmi Okusanya, United President Muinat Naomi Aduke Babalola-Abisoye, alongside several other Rotarians and invited guests.
A total of fifteen (15) new members were formally inducted into the Rotary Club of Gateway City Passport, marking the official commencement of their journey of service, fellowship, and commitment to Rotary ideals.
In his keynote address, the District Governor congratulated the newly chartered club and emphasized the importance of unity, commitment, and teamwork among members. He urged the club members to work closely with their Charter President to ensure strong leadership, sustainability, and impactful service delivery.
The District Governor further described the Rotary Club of Gateway City Passport as a historic milestone within the district, noting that it is the first Passport Club in District 9111. He highlighted this development as a significant innovation in Rotary’s expansion strategy, aimed at enhancing flexibility, inclusion, and broader participation in service.

A major highlight of the event was the official installation of the Charter President, Rtn Olushola Yakub Fadipe, by the District Governor, marking the formal commencement of leadership for the new club.
Following the installation of the Charter President, the pioneer board members were also formally inducted as follows:
- President: Olushola Yakub Fadipe
- President Nominee/Vice President: Makinde Akintunde Ezekiel
- President Nominee-Designate: Olasunkanmi Bello
- Secretary: Blessing Omobolanle Oladele
- Treasurer: Abiola Quddus Ogunbiyi
- Rotary Foundation Chair: Abayomi Olajide Adebayo
- Administration Chair: Femi Gabriel Akingbehin
- Membership Chair: Samuel Adedamola Ogunkunle
- Public Image Chair: Kehinde Ibukun Adedayo
- Service Projects Chair: Nafisat Olabisi Adesola
The installation of the board marked the official activation of the club’s leadership structure, positioning it for effective administration and impactful community service.
