SUPPORTING THE ENVIRONMENT / TREE PLANTING- By Rotary Club Of Obantoko


The first added Project Of Rotary Club Of Obantoko led by the newly elected President of the Club, Rtn Easy Adeniran on the 15th Of July, 2020

The Project is the newly added 7th area of focus of Rotary International; “Supporting the Environment”. The Project was a huge success witnessed by our host the Commandant / Provost of the College, Mrs Awosusi Rachael Oluwasefunmi; and top officials of the college such as Deputy Commandant Oyinloye Kayode, the College’s 2iC, Deputy Commandant Akalugo Blessing Ngozi, Head of Technical Department and host of others.  

The Rotary team was led by the President; Rtn. Easy Adeniran with a large turn out of 15 Rotarians from Rotary Club of Obantoko, President, Rotary Club of Elega; Rtn Rotimi Opeodu, President, Rotary Club of Oke-Ona Egba; Rtn Olusola Saeed; and host 20 Rotaractors from Rotaract Clubs of Obantoko, Abeokuta and Somolu.

Forty (40) notable trees of five (5) different types of species were planted: Coconut Trees (cocos nucifera), Cashew Tree (Anacardium occidentale), Cocoa Tree (Theobroma cacao), and Palm Fruit Tree (Elaeis guineensis), Gmelina Tree (Gmelina arborea) to adorn the only Defenders School (Nursery & Primary School of NSCDC) in the whole of Nigeria.

Facemasks were presented to the Commandant and decorated with the “I love Rotary Pin” as a show of appreciation by the club.
