Easy Becomes New President Of Obantoko Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Obantoko of Abeokuta District 9110 has began a new era following the expiration of the heroic administration of her Immediate  President, Rotarian Adedayo Adebayo (Registrar, FCE, Abeokuta).

The Official handing over virtual from  Rotarian Adedayo Adebayo was held on Thursday, 25th of June, 2020 at the immediate President's house and also  virtually on Zoom.

The inauguration of Rotarian Easy Titilope Adeniran led administration was performed in the physical presence of Assistant Governor, Ebun Atinuke, all Past Presidents of the Club: AG Segun Kuyoro, PP Dr. Adekunle Musa, PP Omolara Kuyoro. While on zoom: AG Sina Adepoju, District Secretary Muftau Adelotan, President Grace Oni and host of others. The event was witnessed also by the family of the newly elected President, Rotarian Bukola Adeniran, Roteract Tabitha and David Adeniran and of the giant Club and many other friends and family.

In his the new President's speech, Rotarian Easy appreciated the Club Past Presidents, Members for the honour and as he as well gave thanks to all well-wishers, friends and associates for the love, support and presence at the programme.

Rotarian Easy thereafter expressed his commitment to lead the club to a greater height as the club would experience new milestones in the new rotary year.

He equally solicited for the support, love and dedication of members in all ramifications to ensure smooth running of the club and to also sustain the vision of the club following global best practices.

He concluded with an appreciation note to the immediate past executives for sailing the ship of the club to an outstanding end.

The club leadership however implored Rotarians, friends and well-wishers in the society to support the vision and laudable projects of the club.

The president and members of the club visited Adatan Literacy Center (Adult Education Center) to sensitized and encouraged the learners on the importance of Education in their respective businesses and community at large. The club was received by the Center Co-ordinator (Mr Omitoogun), the Head teacher of the school been used and the learners who could not hide their joy.  The Seminar was presented by Rtn Dr Peluola Titiloye on the 6th September, 2020. It was graced by members of the club, Potential members invited, Rotaractors, Potential Rotakids and visiting Rotarians; Rtn Muyiwa Fadairo (Past District Rotaract Rep). The Speaker spoke on "Literacy and Global Development" He spoke on the definition and importance of Literacy in the society, it's importance in global development and how Rotary can contribute more in this regard. ROTARY CLUB OF IJEBU ODE, DISTRICT 9110 NIGERIA : TREE PLANTING PROJECT@OSCOTECH ILESE IJEBU- ODE ,OGUN STATE

The tree planting project of our esteemed club in conjunction with the Roteract club OSCOHTECH, Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu-Ife was done on the 24th of July, 2020 at the Ogun State College of Health Technology (OSCOHTECH), Ilese, Ogun State. The program was well attended by members of the club and staff and students of OSCOHTECH. The program started with an opening remarks by the IPP Rtn Olusesi Lukman by 10:22am. Mrs. Oyefeso Abimbola who represented the Registrar who was on state assignment in Abeokuta thereafer welcomed members of the club to OSCOHTECH. She also appreciated the club for choosing the school as one of the beneficiaries of the project. After introduction and familiarization of club members and Staff of OSCOHTECH. present, the sites for the planting of the trees were marked on the school premises, a total of forty five (45 ) trees were planted by the club members and Staff of OSCOHTECH.
